Castlevania: Rondo of Blood did receive a rebranding and editing as Castlevania: Dracula X for the SNES in 1995, but this version is considered to be inferior. A fact that was overlooked by many during its original 1997 release is that is a direct sequel to the PC Engine CD title Castlevania: Rondo of Blood.
